This may seem expensive at first. However, if you buy the right one it can bring plenty of aesthetic pleasure for years if properly maintained. In addition, if you are selling your home the difference between a shower curtain and a nice bathroom enclosure could possibly be an unconscious decision by the person viewing your home on whether they want to look some more or buy your home.
Another improvement that can be done to a bathroom is painting. This should actually be one of the first things you do if you are considering selling your home. Adding fresh paint can help any little nicks or marks that occur while living in your home. The little nicks or marks from moving things can easily be masked by paint.
