Gift Baskets- The perfect present

One of my favorite gifts is gift baskets. I am not talking about cheap wholesale gift baskets either; I am talking gift baskets that resonate with class. Of course, it is that time of the year when cousins and friends are graduating or people are getting married and you have to attend several parties while bearing gifts. Some people like to give $50.00 in a card to the person graduating. Others go to a store like target and have a gift registry. Of course, by the time you get to the registry most of the gifts that are moderately priced are gone and you are left with the expensive gifts or the real cheap gifts. However, I am always reluctant to give money and prefer to give a gift like a gift basket or gift card where they can pick out their own gift. The only problem with gift cards or gift basket is you often over pay for the basket when you could purchase the products individually for a cheaper price. I suppose if you have access to whole sale gift baskets then it may be the best thing. The next problem with gift baskets is what is available in a prepackaged gift basket. Creating your own gift basket is probably the best way to go but may not be that cheap.

There are several types of gift baskets that are available for most occasions. The very first gift basket I ever received arrived the day of our wedding and it was so nice I had them place it on our table as a center piece. The gift basket had wine, cheese and the classes were engraved with our names and the year of our anniversary. If the recipient likes food there are gift baskets that are specifically designed as gourmet baskets. There are of course baskets made from fruit and these are great for the food lover.

I like kid’s gift baskets because they offer several types of different gifts in one basket and kids really love these and they are fairly inexpensive. Gift baskets for kids remind me of stocking stuffers during Christmas. My kids love dumping out their stocking to see what was in the stocking. This is usually what happens to the kids gift basket, they rip open the top and start looking for little gift treasures in their basket. I must admit, when I receive a gift basket with cheese, fruit or candy I also enjoy looking through the basket to see what they have in the basket that I might like.
