Selecting the right Bosch Router table for your work shop
The Bosch Bench top Router table is exactly what you need in a workbench. You will not have any trouble moving the wood over the router rather than moving the router over the work piece. Once you begin cutting the debris and dust is is extracted by a hole along the fence guide allowing you to continue to work on your project worry free.
Some of the key parts to any router table it should contain a top quality fence, safety switch an the router table should be flat and offer little to no resistance when moving your projects back and forth across the table. You should be aware of tables with plastic as this will eventually get scuffed up and therefore the surface will have friction causing problems moving your projects across the table. Some of the complaints with the Bosch is the absence of a hole pattern on the mounting plate for the router
If you are involved in mortising this table is the one that you can use for that. It’s also the most precise. The fence has great adjustments, and there are tracks on the fence and table for fingerboards.
Complaints are:
The miter slot is not a standard 3/4″ miter slot, it is over sized enough that any feather boards designed to clamp into a miter slot don’t work because they don’t spread enough to get tight.
