The benefits of using a notebook computer stand
Since computers have come along way I have traded out my desktop computer for a laptop and an extra monitor (dual monitors). However, using a laptop for a long period of time can wreak havoc on your wrists and arms. One of the things I have found that helps me out is using a notebook computer stand. I especially enjoy using the vertical notebook computer stand. It works much better with my monitor and while allowing my arms and hands to relax as much as possible. Another benefit to the vertical stand is you can hook up a keyboard to your laptop and lift up your screen as if it is a regular computer monitor. These stands typically work for most laptops but some people have complained about them not being very user friend if you are a mac user or more specifically MacBook Pros.
One popular manufacture of vertical notebook stands is 3M. They make nice stands that are sturdy and adjustable allowing the user to adjust the laptop or notebook to right position for viewing while working. The 3M has done a wonderful job of making sure your notebook will not slide out with semi-abrasive bottom. It not abrasive enough to scratch your notebook; however, you can feel how it helps keep the laptop in place if the desk is bumped or you slam the desk door shut when you are not thinking about your laptop.
