Use Diamond blades for cutting tile or concrete
If you are going to cut tile or concrete you need a good blade on your saw. Diamond tile saw blades are used not only for cutting concrete and other masonry objects they are also used for cutting into brick. Although these blades are the best you still must use caution when cutting with these tools. If you are starting a new project you should use the same blade for similar projects to ensure that you get the most out of your blades. As an example, if you cutting concrete in a basement floor to put in a bathroom you do not want to use the same blade to cut tile that will go into a bathroom. Yes, the blade will work for both. However, over a period of time of using the same blade for all projects the blade will wear out quicker and it will eventually cost you more in replacing blades. It is best to buy a set of blades and rotate them as appropriate for the job. You select one blade and use it for all your concrete projects, one blade for all your tile projects, and one bladed for all of your brick projects. Rotating blades with projects ensures you get the same cut on the same material for the life of the blade. You essentially don’t want to have a worn out concrete saw blade when you change out your blades to do a fine cut in tile.
